Saturday

So today, the fiancee wakes me up with a phone call (which I didn't answer) so I lay staring at the ceiling for awhile til I figured out that I wasn't going to get any more shuteye. Up I gets and wander around the apartment for a bit checking my email about 5 times just in case somebody sent me anything and also checking the status of all the blogs that I am familiar with. Amy and I decide that we are going to eat breakfast together at her place so I walk over there with some eggs in a plastic bag. She's already well into the pancake prep and soon scrambled eggs are on the menu too. After that, we drove over to Ray's and distracted him with conversation while he's trying to change the fuel filter on Mer's Tracker. We have a Sidekick so it's all about comparing and talking about vehicles...

After ice cream in the afternoon we thought we should lay out in the sun for a bit to toast our somewhat pasty exteriors but as soon as the oil is on and we're stretching out on the towels, the sun disappears behind some clouds, apparently too embarrassed to watch us in our post-winter state. Oh well. Burgers soon cured our disappointment. And then the invitation-making marathon. Well, it's gotta get done sometime and everybody has to do it once in their life. We did pretty well. Got most of them done. Amy's happy so we're all happy. It's all good. Good night.
