Stout

This post is mostly for Gregg's benefit...and any other homebrewers out there.

I've just started a stout in my fermenter. My first stout. This is also the first time that I will try priming my bottles with unfermented wort that I have stored in my fridge right now. I had a look at that jar just this evening while holding it up to the light and guess what? I couldn't see through it! Yesssss....Just like Guiness. Hopefully it tastes better. Here's the breakdown.

2 cans Munton's Anniversary Ale

1 can grocery store light lager malt extract

2 oz Williamette bittering hops

1 oz Cascade aroma hops

It seems to be fermenting well. I have it parked a little ways from the stove, the only place in the house warm enough to keep that baby bubbling. Maybe one day when I brew a lager I'll be able to keep it in the basement and not have to worry about it. Until then....cheers!
